From December through June, the inside waters near
Prince of Wales has superb king salmon fishing. The
smaller feeder "winter" kings are highly sought after due to
their savory flavor. Commercial trollers collect a premium
price for these fish. May and June in particular can
produce excellent king salmon fishing, with many larger fish
being caught. Some of the largest kings caught in the
area every year are caught close to town.
Dress warmly for the great outdoors!

It is a non-traditional charter boat, engineered for
maximum fuel savings which are passed on to the
customer. It has a 130 Honda motor to make it quick and
efficient. With the "walk around" style, it has more deck
room than many larger cabin cruisers. The boat
configuration also makes it ideal for the angler who wants
to use fly fishing gear in the saltwater. Captain Joel
welcomes fly fishermen. All the gear aboard the Kelper is
top quality. Captain Joel is a big fan of Shimano rods and
reels. No expense has been spared, and all gear will be
